One of the most common things I hear when working with nutrition clients is that they aren't sure why they can't seem to stick to their nutrition goals. "I know what I SHOULD be doing, but after a few weeks, I just fall back into my old habits again." 

After almost a decade working within the health and wellness industry, I've supported a lot of people as they work towards their health goals. Almost every one of them has said the same thing: "I've tried so many diets and followed so many custom meal plans from health coaches, and I'm still not seeing any results." 

And I've had the same response each time:

If your health coach is not teaching you the basic principles of nutrition *and* how to work them into your lifestyle, they are not setting you up for long term success. 

Diet Plan

If you have trouble sticking to your healthy eating goals, it is not because of some character flaw.

And it's not because you don't have enough willpower or that you lack the motivation.


In order to be successful in *any* goal, you need to come up with action steps that take into consideration everything going on in your life and develop habits that actually fit your lifestyle.

That's why following someone else's meal plan, diet protocols, or engaging in restrictive eating habits doesn't work long term.

We all have an idea of what healthy eating might look like. The key is to learn how to easily integrate those ideas into your life.  

Most meal plans tell you *what* to eat, and maybe even give you a little information about the foundations of nutrition, but it's rare that they show you how to work them into your lifestyle aside from "just stop eating that", or "just start doing this".
